It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fulgencio Chavez (Wagon Mound, New Mexico), who passed away on October 2, 2019, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Romaldo Chavez and Juanita Martinez; his stepfather Atanacio Armijo; and his brothers, Dennis Chavez and Filadelfio Armijo.

He is survived by: his son Julian Chavez (Mariah) of Las Vegas, NM; his grandchildren, Julian Jr. and Ishani Chavez of Las Vegas, NM; his siblings, Daniel Chavez (Lorie) of Bernalillo, NM, Tony Armijo of Wagon Mound, NM, Michael Armijo (Jolene) of Wagon Mound, NM and Isabel Armijo (Clinton Jump) of Springer, NM; his aunts and uncles, Christine Martinez of Wagon Mound, NM, Eloy Martinez (Gloria) of Las Vegas, NM, Georgia Encinias (Nash) of Albuquerque, NM, Ricardo Martinez of Wagon Mound, NM, Mary Martinez of Pladville, Colorado and Bernabe Velande (Robert) of Denver, Colorado; and his friends, Alejandro Armijo and George Valdez of Wagon Mound, NM. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
