She was predeceased by: her son Jackie Bookout; and her siblings, Eulalee Gilbert, Irene Crisp, Pauline Leighton, Mary Christian, Leland Christian and Rex Christian.
She is survived by: her spouse Clarence Bookout; her daughter Helen Tompkins (Howard) of Amistad; her daughter-in-law Jana Bookout of Tularosa; her grandchildren, Marla Amerson of Midland, Eugene Payne (Lydia) of Amistad, Nira Powell (Bucky) of Amistad, Gayla Crutchfield (Brandon) of Cleveland, Jason Bookout of Tularosa, Jennifer Norton (Jimmy) of Alamogordo and John Bookout (Jodi) of Deming; her great great grandchild Lincoln Bookout of Tularosa; and her siblings, Nira Gross of Dalhart and Gail Christian (Lou) of Amarillo.
