She was predeceased by: her husband David Sheppard; her parents, Isaac Benavidez and Juanita Benavidez; her sisters, Frances Jaramillo and Della Vigil; her grandson Jaime Sheppard; her nephew Bobby Vigil; and her nieces, Margaret "Cookie" Garwood and Julie Jaramillo.
She is survived by: her daughter Anita Garcia; her son-in-law Patrick Garcia; her children, Barbara Sheppard and David Sheppard; her grandchildren, Celina Waller, Rebekah Garcia, Diana Garcia, Matthew Simonetti, Alyssa Campos, Stefanie Campos, Christian Sheppard, Nicholas Sheppard and Cameron Sheppard; her great grandchildren, Jasmyne Garcia, Syanna Waller, Aviana Garcia, Analiza Bryant, Ricky Bryant and Vale Thompson; and her siblings, Lucy Garwood (Robert), Julia Ottaviano (James), Chris Serna (Jesse), Josephine Duran, Theresa Harrison, Rosie Benavidez and Ray Benavidez (Louisa).
