It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Joe Borquez of Tucumcari, New Mexico, who passed away on December 20, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Borquez and Lena Borquez (Mascareñas); his sisters, Grace Madrid and Kathy Borquez; his grandparents, Mike, Grace Diaz and Virginia Mascareñas; and his uncle Mike Diaz.
He is survived by: his wife Elmira Borquez; his children, Racheal Borquez of Las Cruces, NM, Rodney Borquez (Colleen) of Canutillo, Pete Borquez of Tucumcari, NM and Anita Quintana (Gabe) of El Paso, Texas.; his grandchildren, Jessie, Lane, Serena, Lacee, Isaiah, Addy, Tony, Alexis and Ozzy; his great grandchild Caleb; and his siblings, Raymond Borquez of Tucumcari, NM, Theresa Callahan (Ken) of Albuquerque, NM, Christina Pacheco of Tucumcari, NM and Hope Ortiz (Freddy) of Tucumcari, NM. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends.
