He is survived by: his wife Rosie Padilla; his daughters, Rhonda Apodaca (Bences), Rena Bernal (Bobby Tarin) and Roxanne Bernal (Frank Portillo, Jr.); his granddaughters, Carla Apodaca (Ray Martinez) and Mandi Goolsby; his pets, Lilly, Mollee, Mejita Mia and Nala; his sister Josephine Sanchez; and his sister-in-law Lorenza Anaya. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
