She was predeceased by: her husband Eduardo Romero; her parents, Vidal Chavez and Rose Chavez of Veguita; and her siblings, Albert and Barbara.
She is survived by: her daughters, Clarissa Romero-Flores (Mike Flores) and Carolyn Romero-Mosqueda (Dennis Mosqueda); her grandsons, Austin Bridger and Omar Flores; and her siblings, Sarah Martinez, Prescilla Gonzales, Debbie Pappas and Larry Chavez. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
