It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lourdes Erlinda Lopez of Tome, New Mexico, who passed away on April 2, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her birth parents, Antonio and Lupita Chavira; her adoptive parents, Jose Maria and Carlota Chavira; her daughter Valerie; her husband Ralph Lopez; her grandson Vincent Lopez; her siblings, Frances Villegas, Ann Miller, Nora Lyddon, Freddy and George Chavira; her son-in-law Jason Lucero; and her close friend Pete Chavez.
She is survived by: her children, Rose Aguirre (Art), Carol Garcia (James), Lupita Garcia (Julie), Betty Lou Lucero and Peggy Sue Salazar (Carlos); her stepchildren, Daniel Salazar, Wanda Perez (Oscar) and Mark Salazar (Beverly); and her sister Ramona Cohen. She is also survived by grandkids; and many nephews and nieces.
