He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Chavez; his friend Crisanta Garcia; his parents, Manuel Chavez and Beatriz Maldonado Chavez; and his sister Celia Moya.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Nathan, Dominic, Eugene, Adrian, Jake and Michael. He is also survived by 13 loving children and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his loving siblings, nieces and nephews.
