He was predeceased by: his parents, A. L. LaRue (Bud) and May LaRue; his wife Verlene Thigpen; his brother Carroll LaRue (Lash); and his sister-in-law Pam LaRue.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Doolittle (Pam) and Teresa Cary (Tim Garner); his grandchildren, Caitlin Johnson (Michael), Connor Doolittle (Darby), Morgan Millis (Ryan) and Gentry Doolittle (Bailey); his great grandchildren, Witten Johnson, Bryar Doolittle and Walker Doolittle; his brother Darrel La Rue; his nephew Larry LaRue; and his nieces, Heather Delaney (Joel) and Connie Elliott (Brent).
