With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Lee Placek of Texico, New Mexico, who passed away on March 12, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Placek and Alice Placek; his brothers, Delbert, Jim, Gary and Marvin; his daughter-in-law Karyn; and his grandson Sid.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Placek; his children, Jeff Placek (Lisa), Bobbi Greenwood (Monty), Chris Johnson (Dale), Tracy Wawrzyniak (Amos) and Jay Placek (Sarah); his brothers, Gene (Mary Anne) and Roland (Jean); his grandchildren, Halie, Canyon, Alex, Stephanie, Chyanne, Hanna, Trevor, Caden and Cody; and his great grandchildren, Brysen, Gwendolyn and Adalyn.
