He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Abeyta Jr. and Ofelia Abeyta; and his sister Faviola Abeyta. He is survived by: his wife Karen Abeyta; his daughters, Roxanne Jaecks (Dan), Josephine Gabaldon (Patrick) and Claudia Abeyta (Victor); his siblings, Ida McCabe, Archie Abeyta, Rudy Abeyta (Margo) and Alex Abeyta (Eileen); his grandchildren, Stacy Johnson (Terrance), Kevin Johnson, Avery Jaecks, Zoe Gabaldon, Jayden Vigil, Cora Gabaldon, Brody Gabaldon, Ryan Torres, Kylee Torres and Ezra Torres; and his nieces, Charlene Lucero, Gina Rael, Angela Abeyta, Maria Stafford, Linda Minkoff and Jennifer Abeyta.

Viewing was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Good News Christian Fellowship Church (933 Ranchitos Rd, Taos, NM 87571). A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
