With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert J. Romero (Taos, New Mexico), who passed away on May 29, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Flavio Romero and Agueda Romero; his son Daniel Romero; his granddaughter Melanie Romero; his siblings, Tony Romero, JC Romero, Moises Romero, Luciano Romero, Gilbert Romero, Ersinia Baca, Leonor Romero, Helen Montano and Della Torres; and his in-laws, Rafael, Elena Lujan, Gorgonio Lujan, Leroy Lujan, Jerry Lujan, Vickie Padilla and Belma Sandoval.
He is survived by: his wife Manuelita "Mela" Romero; his children, Edward Romero (Terrie Romero), Robert Romero (Carolyn Serrano) and Cynthia Anaya (Abram Anaya); his in-laws, Arthur Lujan (Ada), Johnny Lujan and Ida Berry (Lee); and his caregiver Daniel Montoya. He is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and great great grandchild.
