He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Smedly and Charlene Smedly (Margaret Lou Littrell); his brother Charles Smedly; and his grandson Brent Robert Floyd. He is survived by: his wife Margie; his children, Dixie Floyd (Otis) and John Jr. (Ursula); and his grandchildren, Brandon Floyd (Alexis), Brian Floyd (Erin) and Brittany Adkins (Tracy). He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
