With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jan Helen Mahalik (Taos, New Mexico), born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 6, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Jan Helen departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jan Helen may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jan Helen leaves behind.

She is survived by: her husband Louis Mahalik; her son John Mahalik (Sarah); her grandsons, Jack and Evan Mahalik; and her sisters, Virginia Piezynski, Bernadette Pieczynski and Paula Ann Dial.
