It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Horacio O. Herrera (Taos, New Mexico), who passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herculano Herrera and Maclovia Herrera; his siblings, John, Ramon, Dennis, Maclovio and Adela Rodriguez (Orlando); his sister-in-law Cheryl Herrera; his son Michael Trujillo; and his niece Elaine Sanders.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline; his children, Steve Herrera, John Trujillo (Diana) and Jeannette; his grandson Jacob Herrera; his sibling Pat Herrera (family: Sylvia Atencio); his sister-in-law Diolinda Herrera; and his uncles, Horacio' and Chico. He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A prayer will be held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe (417 Agua Fria St, Santa Fe, NM 87501). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery (501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Parish Hall (417 Agua Fria St, Santa Fe, NM 87501).
