He was predeceased by: his wife Marianita Arellano; his parents, Jacobo Arellano and Delfina Arellano; his parents-in-law, Felix and Placida Maestas; and his siblings, Clorinda Montoya, Salvador Arellano, Sinforosa Espinoza, Maria Vigil and Samuel Arellano.

He is survived by: his daughter Lydia (Orlando Aragon); and his niece Maxine Ortega. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
