He was predeceased by: his parents, Savino Chavez Sr. and Maria M. Chavez of Ocate, NM.. He is survived by: his wife Dora Chavez of Springer, NM; his sisters, Dora Lucero of Socorro, NM and Annie Garcia of Pueblo, CO; his children, Richard Chavez Sr. of Springer, NM and Pearl Gurule (Ronald Gurule) of Springer, NM; and his grandchildren, Richard Chavez Jr. (Leticia Chavez) of Centennial, CO, Ronald Gurule Jr. of Springer, NM and Kirsten Gurule of Springer, NM. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Per State and Local COVID-19 guidelines and requirements, social distancing and the use of face masks are required inside the Church as well as at the Cemetery.
