She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Newton; her parents, Ed Jeffers and Esther Jeffers; and her siblings, Viola, Sonny, Dorothy and Shirley.
She is survived by: her children, Landon (Carolyn) of Springer, Nelson (Tom Barker) of Clearwater, FL. and Tammy of Phoenix, AZ; her granddaughter Tristan Newton; her great grandchildren, Houston, Grace and Helena of Phoenix, AZ; her grandson Captain James Dakota Newton; her stepgrandchild Cindi Norton (Al) of Gulf Shores; her sister Connie Allen of Scottsdale, AZ; her brother-in-law Jerry Newton (Roberta) of Belen, NM; and also, Specialist Tyler Norton (Staff Sergeant Erica) and Daniel Graham of Los Lunas, NM..
