He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria (Gonzales) and Felipe Anaya, Sr.; his siblings, Felipe "P. T.", Luis, Valentin Anaya and Lucarla Vega; and his father-in-law Stanley Sarate.
He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Anaya; his children, Renee Giron (Omar) and Gilbert Richard Anaya, Jr. (Samantha); his mother-in-law Betty Sarate; his siblings, Annie Anaya, Debbie Paul (Charles), Narcy Anaya and Leroy Anaya (Frances); his siblings-in-law, Yvonne Anaya, Elsie Anaya, Rosalie Anaya, Bernadette Montoya (Anthony), Flora Sarate, Tommy Sarate (Stephanie) and Carlos Vega; and his grandchildren, Oscar Contreras (Marina), Andrew Contreras (Blanca), Michael Lee Contreras (Samantha), Daniel Giron (Anastasia), Jason Anaya, Marcus Ruiz, Angel Giron (Shamry), Joseph Giron (Adriana), Jesse Giron (Melanie) and Cassandra Castillo (Damian). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and so many nieces and nephews.
