It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stella Lopez Lucero of Silver City, New Mexico, born in Gila, New Mexico, who passed away on July 1, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mariano Lopez and Celedonia Chavez Lopez; her husband Armando Lucero; her son Eloy Lucero; and her brothers, Manuel Lopez, Eloy Lopez and David Chavez.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lorraine Madrid (Arnold) of Silver City, Emily Lucero of Silver City, Jean Lucero of Silver City and Irma Lucero of Silver City; and her siblings, Mariano Lopez of Silver City, Fernando Chavez, Katie Kincheloe of Silver City, Toni Vasquez (Sam), Rose Gutierrez, Virginia Marin (Teddy) of Silver City and Samantha Cooper (Greg). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren.
