He is survived by: his wife Natalia L. Ybarra; his sister Ann Swearengin (John Swearengin); his grandchildren, Michael A. Ybarra, Benny Y. Munoz, Victoria Ybarra, Dennis Munoz, Josh Ybarra, Candice Garcia and Marcus Flores; and his great grandchildren, Luis C. Jurado, Michael Ybarra Jr., Nicholas Munoz, Brenden Ybarra, Alonzo Ybarra, Breanna Ybarra, Letricia Ybarra, Erika Ybarra, Alice J. Ybarra, Corbin Ybarra and Lorenzo Garcia. He is also survived by father figure to several nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
