With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Justina Ortiz Norero (Silver City, New Mexico), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 13, 2024 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melquiades Roybal and Rosario Villalovos Ortiz; her siblings, Enriqueta "Henrietta" Campos, Isabel Ramirez, Margarita "Margaret" Pedraza, Guillermo, Felipe and Pedro "Pete" Ortiz; and her daughter Kristine "Kris" Hagen.
She is survived by: her children, Gloria Ann Mastic (Lawrence) of Las Cruces, NM, Norma Madrid (Sammy) of San Antonio, TX, Amy Vigil (Avenildo Jr.) of Bayard, NM and Benjamin Norero (Sherrie) of Schenectady, NY; and her grandchildren, Dienne Castruita, Frank Lucero Jr., Tracey Louis, Justina, Benjamin Norero, Kaitlin Strempke, Stephen Adolf of Avenildo, Tristan, Alejandro Leon Vigil and Abriana Herrera. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Baca's Funeral Chapel (3805 Delk Dr, Silver City, NM 88061). A rosary will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Baca's Funeral Chapel- Silver City (3805 Delk Dr, Silver City, NM 88061). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:45 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at the San Lorenzo Cemetery.
