He is survived by: his wife Helen Chavez; his children, Lawrence M. Chavez (Patsy), Ronnie Chavez (Katie), Amy Becerra, Cindy Henry and Thomas Chavez; and his stepchildren, Ricky Fierro (Marina) and Charlie Fierro (Wendy). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
