She was predeceased by: her parents, Ana L. Vargas and Ignacio Medina; her daughter Cathy Abeyta (Chata); and her great grandchildren, Jazzmynn Bejarano and Sofia Arias.
She is survived by: her pet Isabella; her stepfather Manuel Vargas; her close friend Pete Hernandez; and her children, Gilbert Abeyta, Sally Abeyta and Anna Pena.
