It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Caroline Grado of Silver City, New Mexico, born in Antonito, Colorado, who passed away on March 24, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor DeHerrera and Deluvina Saiz DeHerrera; her husband Miguel R. Grado; her son Richard Grado; her grandson Victor Grado; her siblings, Felipe, Filimon DeHerrera, Mary Jiron and Rita Martinez; and her son-in-law Mike Trujillo.
She is survived by: her children, Mickey Grado Jr. (Christine) of Silver City, Robert Grado (Eva) of Tucson, AZ, Carlos Grado (Ashley) of Silver City, Yolanda Quintana (Ronald) of Silver City, Pauline Trujillo of Silver City and Linda Hernandez (Mike) of Silver City; and her brothers, Filibert DeHerrera (Enriqueta) of Silver City and Ignacio "Nash" DeHerrera (Danielle) of Lamar, CO. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
