She was predeceased by: her parents, Susanna Martinez and Marcello Martinez; her sisters, Lupe Martinez and Mary Lou Martinez; and her son-in-law John Penrod.
She is survived by: her husband Pete Ortega; her children, Tomas Ortega of Silver City, Robbie Ortega (Bella Dao) of Whittier, CA, Snuffy Ortega (Tiffany) of Silver City and Linda Penrod of Silver City; and her siblings, Richard Martinez (Patsy) of San Jose, CA, Robert Martinez of Las Cruces, Leticia Cadena (Carlos) of Victorville, CA and Angel Lopez of Tucson, AZ. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren.
