He is survived by: his children, Rogelio (Pecky), Benjamin René (Ramona), Ernesto III (Sylvia), Gilberto Zapién (Rebecca), Marisela McDaniel (Gregorio Ortiz), Patricia Ramiréz (Darío), Sonia Zapién (Bill Dominik) and Nancy Zapién Marrufo (Edward R.); and his siblings, Concepción, Socorro and Jose "Pepe" Zapién. He is also survived by his loving Grand Children, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.
