He was predeceased by: his parents, Onofre Cordova and Veneranda Cordova (Campos); his mother-in-law Juanita Romo; his siblings, Umelio Cordova, Amelia Cordova, Adan Cordova (Helen) and Rebecca Sandoval (Paul); his stepsiblings, Juan Cordova and Alice Sanchez; his siblings-in-law, Victoria Cordova and Eddie Romo; and his nephews, Randy Cordova and Edward Romo.

He is survived by: his wife Maggie M. Romo; his children, Helen Apodaca (Sam), Onofre Cordova (Selina) and Silvie Rodarte; his grandchildren, Jacob and Emma Apodaca; his brothers, Eduardo Cordova (Aurora) and Adolfo Cordova; and his sister-in-law Adela Romo.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Chavez Funeral Home - Santa Rosa (923 S 3rd St, Santa Rosa, NM 88435). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church - Santa Rosa (439 S 3rd St, Santa Rosa, NM 88435). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the Nuestra Senora de Refugio Cemetery.
