He was predeceased by: his parents, Nestor Chavez and Diana Chavez (Herrera); his grandparents, Eulalio and Cecilia Herrera; and his nephew Jared Chavez.
He is survived by: his children, Delano Chavez of Santa Rosa, Vicente Chavez of Santa Rosa and Dennica Chavez of Santa Rosa; his grandchildren, Mikaya Robles, Lukas Chavez and Jenekah Chavez; and his siblings, Levi Chavez, Michael Chavez (Louise), Rita Singletary (John), Robert Chavez (Jessica), Jimmy Chavez (Janie) and Yolanda Chavez.
