He was predeceased by: his parents, Guadalupe Gomez and Rosa Gomez (Garcia); his wife Betty; his son Mark; and his brothers, Wilfred Gomez and Richard Gomez.
He is survived by: his children, Darrel Gomez (Angela) and Marka Gomez of Santa Rosa; his grandchildren, Dathion Gomez (Amarissa), Clarissa Gomez (Pat), Darrel Gomez, Jr., Derrick Gomez (Maria) and Mariah Lynch; his great grandchildren, Andres Gomez, Amarissa Gomez, Derrick Gomez, Jr. and Ayden Velasquez; and his siblings, Fred Gomez (Pita), Chris Gomez, Gilbert Gomez (Faby), Georgia Gomez, Deborah Lopez (George) and Danny Gomez (Cindy).
