She was predeceased by: her husband Louis Chavez; her son Phil Chavez; her parents, Clara Mendiola and Manuel Mendiola; and her siblings, Isabel Alvarez, Doroteo, Octavio, Guadalupe, John, Manuel (Lito), Joe and Celestino.
She is survived by: her children, Steven (Dana), Juliana, Jayden, Jamie, Tamara (Matt), Amaya, Cedric (Amanda), Elena, Benjamin and Sandra (Nathan); her grandchildren, Manny and Elliott; and her sister Margaret Fresquez. She is also survived by Her grandchildren quickly taught her actual children.
