He has also served on steering committees, as a contract consultant for the Kellogg Foundation, and as the teacher leader founder of the Eisenhower Student Ambassador program at IAIA.

“Bob was my 2nd Cousin, and really seemed more like and Uncle to me. He was so gracious the few times we visited him in Santa Fe. He also came to see us in Phoenix once and once in Columbus. He was so darn interesting to talk with because he studied and knew so much about so many things that were foreign to me. He did great work on our family genealogy too. I really admired how dedicated he was to IAIA for his whole adult life. I think he made a real difference in MANY people's lives.”

“I was just going to call Bob like I did each month in the last 8 years. I've known him since 1983 when I attended the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) at Santa Fe, NM. I can truthfully say that Bob was a great friend. More importantly, he was a mentor to me who could've been a second father. Whenever I needed advice on anything. “My wife, Doreen Meyers Duncan and I are greatly saddened to hear Bob making his transition i to the next world. Bob was our Finance Officer while attending IAIA in SantaFe in '75-76. Thru the years, Bob & I kept in contact. Whenever he was in the Phoenix area for a poker/ blackjack card tournament, he would call me & we'd talk about the ole IAIA campus and staff. When our van broke down on Cerrillos Rd from our way home from ND once, Bob came to our rescue.Til we meet again. Kenny Duncan”
