He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Lisa and Steve; his siblings, Ben, Ray Barela and Faye Romero; his sister-in-law Evelyn Martinez; his nieces, Elaine Romero and Stella Padilla; his nephew Johnny Barela; and his friends, Dickie Montoya, Joe Trujillo, Robert Vigil and Mon Montaño.
