She was predeceased by: her parents, Celso Escudero and Ramoncita Trujillo-Escudero; her siblings, Anna Maria Gonzales and Benjamin Escudero; her close friend Eduardo Escudero; and her nephew Mark Gonzales.
She is survived by: her sons, Peter Romero (Pauline) and Paul Romero (Lenore); her grandchildren, Renee Garcia, Rick Garcia, Isabel Romero, Anthony Romero, Shontay Romero, Dimitri Romero and Londyn Romero; her nephews, Christopher Escudero (Maggie) and Michael Gonzales (Christine); her brother Benny; her friends, Carolyn and Denise Craig; her spouse Jerry Romero; and her friends, Karen, Dorothy Gonzales, Shirley Padilla and Susan Aagard. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at the Paz Catholic Church (11 College Ave, Santa Fe, NM 87505). Florence went through testing and was diagnosed with stage IV Ovarian cancer on September 12, 2020, then four months later lost her dear friend Eddie Escudero to Covid.
