With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Anne (Lisa) McKenney (Santa Fe, New Mexico), born in Cherry Point, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 14, 2024 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Elizabeth leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Elizabeth may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

She was predeceased by: her father James McKenney; her brother Michael McKenney; and her grandparents, William, Clara Popek, Gilbert and Vescie McKenney.

She is survived by: her mother Joanne McKenney; and her pet Lokie. She is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.

“I knew Lisa as a wonderful and creative person. It was a special chapter in my life. She found her calling in nursing and thrived caring for others as she would. We went our separate ways. Fond memories of Joliet, IL and enjoying the least healthy of options: white castle burgers. So sad that she has left us for her greater place. I hope that Joanne will find the strength to make it through this very difficult time. - scott vejcik”
