It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rose Salazar (Santa Cruz, New Mexico), born in Vallecitos, New Mexico, who passed away on December 1, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eligio DeVargas and Estefanita DeVargas; her husband Ben J. Salazar; her siblings, Isais DeVargas, Eppie Larabell, Esther Lopez, Esmiria Lucero and Evangeline Herrera; her brothers-in-law, Earl Larabell, Jerome Trujillo and Sam Herrera; and her cousin Gail Gallegos.

She is survived by: her children, Patricia (Jose "Coco" Archuleta), Rebecca (Earl Salazar) and Eliud (Katherine Salazar); her grandchildren, Alonso Archuleta, Milena Archuleta, Zaqueo Salazar (Sarah), Andres Salazar and Lupita Salazar; her great grandchild Elias Salazar; her sisters, Elva Trujillo and Geraldine Sandoval; and her brothers-in-law, Levi Lopez and Sibi Lucero.
