It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Grace Valdez (Santa Cruz, New Mexico), born in Ojo Caliente, New Mexico, who passed away on January 6, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Garcia and Anita Garcia; her husband Leo Valdez; her son Ralph Valdez; her granddaughter Alicia Valdez; and her brothers, Orlando, Isaac and Tito Garcia.
She is survived by: her children, Vivian Riechert (Tom), Leo Valdez (Theresa) and Valerie Martinez (Higinio); her grandchildren, Sharman (Jason), Jason Riechert, Ivan (Kay), Jeremy (Kelly), Tomas Valdez, Nina, Pedro Valdez (Charmaine), Liz Galvan (George) and Higinio Martinez (Olivia); her great grandchildren, Alysse Salas (Miguel), Vince, Griffin Valdez, DeeJay, Eliseo, Amalia Valdez and Lucas Galvan; her sisters, Viriginia Hernandez (Mario) and Lucy Smith (Jerry); her sisters-in-law, Chon LaBrier and Tiofila Valdez; and her uncles, Fidel and Mark Gutierrez. She is also survived by nephews and nieces and friends.
Due to covid restrictions there will only be small groups allowed at a time.
