With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Stephen S. Chacon Sr. of Santa Clara, New Mexico, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramon T. Chacon and Maria Chacon; and his brother Alvino Chacon. He is survived by: his wife Lily Chacon; his children, Barbara Martinez (Eddie Joe), Stephen Chacon Jr. and Rudy Chacon (Valerie); his stepchildren, Denise, Rick and Mark; and his siblings, Steve Chacon (Susie) and Vickie Frias (Joe). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Baca's Funeral Chapel- Silver City (3805 Delk Dr, Silver City, NM 88061). A rosary was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Santa Clara Catholic Church (207 Fort Bayard St, Santa Clara, NM 88026). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Fort Bayard National Cemetery (200 Cam De Paz, Fort Bayard, NM 88036).
