He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecilio Saenz and Amelia Torres Saenz; his son Tony Saenz; his siblings, Johnny Saenz and Susie Jaramillo; and his grandson Andy Huerta.
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice "Betty" Saenz; his children, Samuel Ray Saenz (Carrie) of Phoenix, AZ, Olga Jean Huerta (Rudy) of Arenas Valley, Mary Lily Jimenez of Silver City, Rose Mary "Zero" Saenz (Mark Schwab) of Phoenix, AZ and Lou Ann "Lulu" Palomarez (David) of Santa Clara; his grandchildren, Jessica Hawkins, Justin Jimenez, Sonia Marie Camilli, Christopher Ray Palomarez Betty, Samuel Ray III, Ricardo Rene, Santana Rose, Samanta Rae and Shawn Raymond Saenz; and his sister Clara Felix of Hurley. He is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
