Josie S. Chavez Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Josie S. Chavez of Santa Clara, New Mexico, who passed away on March 13, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joaquin Samaniego and Aurora Samaniego; her husband Rudy Lopez; and her sister Jo Ann Esquivel. She is survived by: her children, David Valles (Evangelina) and Michelle Cuhen; her grandchildren, Rhea Valles, Jamiee Gomez, Miya Romo (Alonso), Christopher Lopez, Izrael Cuhen, Ylianna Duarte, Josiah Duarte and JJ Duarte; her niece Amber Ayon (Santiago); her nephew Richard Esquivel (Bernice); and her pets, Roxie and Osito.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Baca's Funeral Chapel- Silver City (3805 Delk Dr, Silver City, NM 88061). A rosary was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
