He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Madeline Hand and Garland Burr Sturdevant; his brothers, Charles, Vernon (Donna) and Tom (Joy); and his mother-in-law Elizabeth Kimmick Putnam.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Hunt-Sturdevant; his son Noah Sturdevant; his sister Ann Graves; his sisters-in-law, Marilee Hunt Burns (David), Donna Sturdevant (Vernon) and Joy Sturdevant (Tom); and also Ronald Gene Sturdevant (Toni). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; two step grandchildren.
