It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cornelia Padilla Ortiz of Santa Clara, New Mexico, born in Hurley, New Mexico, who passed away on February 20, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Padilla and Lupe Padilla. She is survived by: her daughters, Sofia (Pete Castillo) and Maxine (Michael Jimenez); her husband Eliseo "Cheo" Ortiz; her sons, Paul Ortiz (Trina) and David Ortiz (Michelle); her goddaughter Angelica Padilla; her grandchildren, Robin, Jennifer, Andrea, Estrella, Jerome, Justyn, Christyn and Madisyn; her great grandchildren, Adalyn, Emiliano, David, Michael James, Xaydrie, Maverick, Mason and Jaylah; and her siblings, Amelia Granadino, Delmira Martinez, David Padilla and Fernando Padilla.
