He was predeceased by: his daughter Marlena Chavez; his parents, David Chavez and Tillie "Muretta" Chavez; and his siblings, David Chavez of Lincoln Chavez, Diane Duran and Laura Mae Chavez.
He is survived by: his children, Ivan Garcia, Isaac Garcia, Stephaine Chavez of Los Lunas, Crystal Chavez of San Rafael and Vivian Vallejos of Costilla; and his siblings, Brian Chavez of Amarillo, Victor Chavez of Glendale, Hazel Sandoval of San Rafael and Lorainne Garcia of Meadow Lakes. He is also survived by 17 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.
