He was predeceased by: his father Jesus Mercado. He is survived by: his wife Olivia (Martinez); his son Michael Mercado (Priscilla); his grandchildren, Madilyn of Amarillo and Noah of Amarillo; his daughter Resa Mercado; his granddaughter Amelia of Ruidoso; and his siblings, Ricky, Alicia, Estella, Adela and Esther.
