He was predeceased by: his brother Billy Knobel; his nephew Scott Smith; and his parents, Don Knobel and June Knobel. He is survived by: his siblings, Donna Methena (Rick) and Tom (Beverly); his niece Dawn Bruder; his great-nieces and great-nephews, McKenna and Megan of Houston, Texas; and his sister-in-law Sandy Mosteller (Charlie).
