George Anklam Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Anklam (Ruidoso, New Mexico), who passed away on December 24, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact George had on those he encountered along his journey. Though George may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Paddock Anklam and Ralph Anklam; and his brother Dick. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Blankenship Smith of Ruidoso; and his sons, Richard Anklam (Becca) of Albuquerque and Rusty Smith (Joy) of Florida. He is also survived by eight grandkids.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso (341 Sudderth Dr, Ruidoso, NM 88345). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Ruidoso Downs.
