He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Henry and Beulah Shaffer; his wife Irene Tuttle; and his children, Billy Earl Shaffer, Jr. of Alamogordo, Mary Waldrop of Alto and Stephen Shaffer of Ruidoso. He was also cherished by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
