It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vicente M. Fuentez in Roswell, New Mexico, who passed away on January 13, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernardino Fuentez and Louisa Mendoza; his wife Precilla L. Fuentez; his sons, Larry Fuentez and Corney Lucero; his grandson Jesus V. Marquez; his stepfather Eloy Mendoza; his brother Victorio Fuentez; and his close friends, Mary Duarte, Steve Primera and Santos Franco.
He is survived by: his children, Leroy Fuentez Sr. and Beatrice F. Marquez (Beto Mendoza); his grandchildren, Leroy Fuentez Jr. Abel Marquez, Corney Ray Lucero, Priscilla Ruiz (Anthony Morales) and Melanie Fuentez; his siblings, Dominga, Sally, Lucy, Mike, Juan (Virgie), Lupe (Arturo), Margaret, Jesse (Ernestine), Martin, Mary, Rudy (Barbra), Emma and Yolanda (Ben); his close friends, Primo Mingo Fuentez, Julia, Robert, Donald and Amiah Fuentez; and his son-in-law Beto Mendoza.
