She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfonso Arras (Josefa Rodriguez) and Josefa Rodriguez; and her sister Pilar Saenz. She is survived by: her husband Jose Chavez; her sons, Jose Alfonso (Graciela Chavez) of Amarillo, TX, Omar Chavez of Roswell and Jorge Luis Chavez of Roswell; her granddaughters, Maleny of Amarillo, TX and Joselyn Chavez of Amarillo, TX; her siblings, Cipriano Arras of Roswell, Agustin, Juan, Roberto Arras and Dolores Torres of California; her sister-in-law Margarita Chavez; and her close friend Velma Acosta. She is also survived by her family and friends.
