He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Monroe and Aimee Adele Cooley (Ricketts); his sisters-in-law, Betty Richburg and Mildred Cox of Montrose; his wife Emma Cooley; his siblings, Carol Cooley, Lorraine Rister, Melvin Cooley, Kenneth "Buddy" Cooley and James Cooley; and his daughter-in-law Belinda Cooley.
He is survived by: his children, Pop and Pops; his grandfather Gramps; his children, Sharon Collins (Richard) of Roswell, Steven Cooley of Weatherford and Shawn Cooley (Jennifer) of Castle Rock, Colorado; his grandchildren, Allison Collins of Lubbock, Texas, Bobby Cooley of Fort Worth, Patrick Collins of Roswell and Ian Cooley of Castle Rock, Colorado; and his great grandchild Jonah Collins of Lubbock, Texas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
